Skytours is an internationally operating travel company and IATA-accredited tour operator, originally founded in Germany in 1973. With over five decades of experience, Skytours connects global travelers with competitive flights, local travel services, and complete package tours — all powered by a network of trusted partners and destination experts.

What We Do

Skytours offers both flight booking services and custom travel packages, working directly with local DMCs (Destination Management Companies) to provide authentic, on-the-ground experiences in countries around the world.

We operate a growing portfolio of travel platforms, including international flight portals and our newest line of “Trips2”, “Tours2” and “LetsGo2” destination websites — where travelers can book locally designed travel packages bundled with globally sourced flights.

Company Timeline & Milestones

Here’s how Skytours has grown over the years:

• 1973 – Founded as a traditional travel agency in Germany
• 1977–1982 – Appointed as GSA (General Sales Agent) for Laker Airways, founded by Sir Freddie Laker, the world’s first low-cost carrier
• Skytours was part of the early low-fare revolution, until legacy airlines like British Airways, Pan Am, and Lufthansa forced Laker Airways out of the market
• 1980s–1990s – Operated as a tour operator in both Europe and the United States
• 1992 – Officially appointed by IATA (International Air Transport Association)
• 1998 – Launched one of the first online flight booking platforms in Germany and became a pioneer in U.S. online travel
• 2002 – Founded Militaryfares.com in the U.S., offering discounted flights to active military, veterans, and their families
• 2020s – Expanded globally with new regional travel platforms and localized brands
• 2025 – Launch of NATOFares.com offering travel packages and military/NATO discounts
• Nov 25 – Also launching a global network of destination-focused websites, with over 130 web domains planned
